We provide digital marketing services to online furniture retailers. We do not sell products to the public. For delivery details, returns, stock levels, assembly instructions or spare parts we will not be able to assist and you will need to contact the retailer directly.

For any other enquiries we are always happy to help and will endeavour to reply within 24 hours. Your query will be answered below, please do not include your email address or telephone number.

Frequently Asked Questions

The furniture showcased on this site is not mass-produced and is typically exclusive to a single retailer. Popular pieces frequently sell out, and restocking delays are common. When an item is marked ‘Out of Stock,’ it truly is unavailable and cannot be found elsewhere.

Additionally, most furniture collections will eventually be phased out, which can disappoint some customers. Unfortunately, this can occur with little warning and is beyond our control. When an item is labelled ‘discontinued,’ it means just that—it’s no longer available for purchase anywhere.

Elisabeth – I would like to purchase just one Rye Garden lounging armchair in natural. I can only find them sold in pairs. I already have a two seater sofa but I only want one matching chair not two. Read more…

Oh, Elisabeth, you’re out here trying to break up the Rye Garden lounging armchair duo? Those chairs are practically joined at the hip, living their best paired life! I totally get wanting just one to cosy up with your two-seater sofa – which sounds like a chic setup. Sadly, these armchairs are only sold as a twosome.

The good news is that the Lounging Armchairs are currently on offer with 20% off – that’s a saving on nearly £120 on the pair! So if you were looking to save money, this may be your best chance?

Jan – Hi, can you tell me if the Avon upholstered Ottoman Storage bed superking size had one complete base or if it is 2 linked bases thanks? Read more…

Hi Jan! The Avon Superking Ottoman Storage Bed? Yep, it’s got two linked bases – short and sweet!

Ang – I’m looking fir a Bromley 3door sideboard (normally sold in Dunelm) am I able to buy just 1 of these please and if it’s damaged do you replace (I problems with a Bromley tv unit from Dunelm) that is why I’m looking for a different place to buy a sideboard and could you please tell me what the delivery is please? Read more…

Hiya Ang, thanks for reaching out! I totally get why you’d be cautious after having issues with the Bromley TV unit. Unfortunately, the Bromley range is exclusive to Dunelm, so we can’t sell you one directly or point you to another retailer.

That said, if you do end up buying from them, their policy is pretty solid – they’ll replace it or refund you if it arrives damaged. As for delivery, it’d depend on what option you pick at checkout on their site; they’ve got stuff like standard delivery or click-and-collect, but the costs vary based on your location and the service. I’d suggest checking their website for the latest details on that.

Hope that helps, and fingers crossed you get a flawless sideboard this time!

Kim – I have bought a sofa and two chairs from M&S back in September 2021. Do you know where I would be able to buy replacement ‘feet’ for these as they have worn down? Apart from this the rest of the furniture is still as good as new. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Read more…

Hi Kim – Amazon’s a solid bet; they’ve got heaps of furniture feet options that might fit your sofa and chairs from September 2021. You could also try searching their site with your specific model name if you’ve got it, just to narrow things down. Worst case, maybe peek at some furniture repair shops online or even eBay for spare parts. Hope you get it sorted soon!

Alison – Sorry, John Lewis gave me your details to see if you could source any Dante dining chairs – or provide any support to source any? Read more…

Hi Alison, thanks for reaching out! I totally get your frustration with John Lewis, their customer service can be a bit of a letdown sometimes. So, about those Dante dining chairs… the Dante range is their own line, and sadly, it’s completely out of stock now. No word yet on whether they’ll bring it back, either. I’d love to help you to find something similar if you’re still on the hunt, just let me know what you’re thinking!

Deborah – I am trying to find another armchair to match what I already have, do you have any of the marlow left please also would take a foot stool also, please could someone get back to me on this. Read more…

Hi Deborah, thanks for reaching out! I’m assuming you’re asking about the Marlow range from John Lewis, right? I checked it out, and it seems like one of the armchair options is out of stock, and I couldn’t spot a footstool available either. Sorry I couldn’t sort this out for you! Hope you find what you’re looking for soon.

Michelle – Do you guys have any display stock of Belgrave Sofas? John Lewis don’t have any display stock in any of their stores and I would quite like to try it before committing money to buying a sofa. Read more…

Hi Michelle, thank you for your enquiry about the Belgrave Sofas. I’m afraid there is no display stock available, as the Belgrave range is made to order and sold exclusively online. I completely understand your wish to try a sofa before making a purchase, and I’m sorry for any inconvenience this causes. Having every sofa option on display in-store would, unfortunately, increase prices, which is why many options are online only. Whilst I appreciate this may not be ideal for everyone, it does suit some customers. If you have any further questions or need help with your decision, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. I hope you find the perfect sofa soon.

Michael – Where can your furniture be viewed and inspected? Read more…

Hi Michael, thank you for your enquiry about viewing and inspecting our furniture. I’m afraid we don’t have any furniture available to view, as we don’t maintain a physical stock for display. I apologise for any disappointment this may cause. If you have any further questions or need assistance with something else, please don’t hesitate to contact me. I hope I can still be of help in some way!

Lucy – I am interested in the Gerry Office Chair. We are sourcing some furniture for some offices. As we are putting this in a commercial setting, we are looking for some information/ a spec sheet that it complies with commercial standards. These being: Safety, Durability and performance, Ergonomic, environmental and material, Accessibility, and practical requirements. Read more…

The Gerry Office Chair is designed for use in a home environment and not for heavy-duty, continuous use in an office setting.

The information you require will, usually, be freely available from a supplier who specialises in commercial office furniture.

Anna – Is there any other place where I can buy the Suffolk red striped armchair? I’m directed to John Lewis on your website but it is not in stock and have no idea when/if they will restock. Read more…

The John Lewis Suffolk Armchair is only available via John Lewis. Alas, popular items really do sell out.

Please use the ‘Email when back in stock’ option to be notified…

David – I am interested in the Suffolk arm chair in green and natural stripe marketed by John Lewis but I notice that it is consistently out of stock. Can you tell me whether it is worth getting on the queue or is there a long term problem in obtaining it? Read more…

The red/white and green/white options are held in stock for 7-day delivery whilst the main range (available in multiple finishes) are made to order only. JL do this with a number of seating ranges as a promotional device and the outcome is usually the same – demand outstripping supply.

To answer your question, yes it is worth opting for the ’email me when back in stock’ option because people who have already done this will get the chance to order before anyone else does.

This does not guarantee these striped versions will become available again, however, but it is worth a try.

Michelle – We are interested in the Halo Groucho sofas, as both 3 seaters and 2-seaters in the London Leather. John Lewis are showing these as currently out of stock. Having called them they weren’t clear if/when this finish would be available through them again or whether it has been discontinued. If you could advise please that would be really helpful. Read more…

The Groucho sofas are often out of stock for particular colour options and these options do change over time. The only shades which have remained consistently available are Riders Nut and Antique Whisky.

Debbie – I am interested in the Sophie Conrad and John Lewis Cocobella large sofa and wondered if you sell It? If so would be good to know cost and delivery time in Olive green please. Many thanks. Read more…

Hi Debbie, no we don’t sell it – the Cocobella range is available to order at johnlewis.com

Vivian – Thank you for your reply about the Hastings furniture. Do you make the Wilton furniture for John Lewis, and is it a comparable quality? (We have Hastings beds and want to match them with bedroom furniture) Thank you. Read more…

Hi Vivian, no we don’t make the Wilton Bedroom Furniture, it is a budget range and not comparable in quality to Hastings. I would also be careful about mixing and matching alternative brands of white furniture as the shade difference can be quite stark when placed side by side.

Vivian – Do you still make Hastings triple wardrobe in white, please? Read more…

Hi Vivian, we don’t make any Hastings wardrobes. All of the options available are listed on the Marks and Spencer website here…

M&S did stop selling the range in March 2024, as you may be aware, but have now licensed the designs to a third party supplier – Gallery Direct who will now take care of the deliveries. As always though, the range will remain exclusive to M&S.

At present, there is only a the standard 2-door wardrobe available, this may change at some time in the future but we don’t know when. Rest assured, if the 3-door option does become available it will be listed on the website with the rest of the Hastings range.

Eileen – I emailed you last week about instructions to dismantle a cork bed but have not heard anything from you. Will you please let me know whether you intend to reply so that I can determine the next steps. Thank you. Read more..

Not only do we ‘intend to reply’ – we actually did, on the same day, as you can see 2 posts below…

You may also want to read the message at the top of the page to save wasting your time further.

Susi – ‘ Where can we see one of your Padstow sofas on display please? John Lewis apparently don’t have any on display on any of their stores. We live in Oxford.’ Read more…

Hi Susi, the Pasdtow Sofas are a John Lewis product and just one of over 200 original designs available exclusively to John Lewis.

It would be great if they were able to display each and every one in store, since we get a lot of similar questions, but it just isn’t possible. For the time being, the Padstow range is online only.

Eileen – ‘ Purchased a Cork sofa bed in Jan 20. We need to dispose of the bed but it will have to be dismantled to get it down the stairs. Do you have instructions to enable us to dismantle the bed – we will have to get a handyman to do the job for us. The bed is good quality and it would be a shame to damage it?Read more…

No, a competent handyman should be able to to figure this out.

Jane – ‘ Hi we have the Quartz Lloyd Loom dining chairs but they need touching up. Is it possible for you to provide us with the RAL number please.’ Read more…

Sorry Jane, we do not have that information. The chairs are a John Lewis product, although they also are unlikely to be able to help, customer service agents don’t have access to information beyond what you can see on the website.

Even if you were able to get the correct RAL reference it would be also unlikely to be an exact match due to paint differences and batching.

Robert – ‘ I have been trying to purchase the Malik super wide tv stand, it say via Dunelm ! But they don’t take the order or give me any information on why can’t purchase! Could I purchase direct or look for another tv stand?Read more…

It looks like the wide TV stand is now out of stock, which may explain the odd response? Sorry for the inconvenience.

There are a few other options currently available via Dunelm here:

Maggie – ‘ I have several pieces of Hemmingway Pippy oak furniture from John Lewis and the small table of my nest of tables have been damaged by some twit leaving a hair product on the top that has leaked. The surface has been removed in an area on the table and is still sticky from the residue ! ‘

Do you have any suggestions how I can take off the residue and repair / replace the surface colour? The product seems to have melted the veneer polish. I am disappointed as I have saved hard for each individual piece and can’t afford to replace but happy to try and find a repair?Read more…

I can not give specific advice since it is likely that any attempt at repair could make matters worse, it really is a job for a professional.

However, accepting a professional repair may not be economical, I’ll make the following points:

If the chemical was strong enough to to damage the surface then any other chemical you use to remove the residue will do further damage. You can try with something like white vinegar, concentrated sugar soap solution or olive oil but certainly nothing stronger.

If you are able to remove the residue you’ll then need to try and hide the damage with a coloured scratch repair product, of which there are plenty available via amazon. Sometimes a combination of colours will yield a better result than attempting to get an exact match with just one.

To re-polish the surface you can use natural bees wax, applied with 0000 grade wire wool and finished with a soft cloth. Only use 0000 grade which is non-abrasive or just use a cloth if you’re nervous about this.

Ideally, do a small trial area first before committing to doing the entire table surface. Best results are often achieved by a process of trial and error. Ideally, a test on some other surface may help you gain confidence.

Again, this is not specific advice and you should only proceed at your own risk.

Good luck!

Sarah – ‘ Hi Is there a dining table to match the Jakarta mango wood range?Read more…

Afraid not Sarah, thanks for getting in touch!

Kam – ‘ I wish to purchase the double Emily ottoman storage bed in charcoal. John Lewis delivery is 16 weeks is there any where I can get this from sooner?Read more…

The Emily upholstered bed frames are made to order so there is delay between ordering and delivery. It simply isn’t possible to have all 23 different options in stock.

16 weeks is quoted as a guide, it may be less than this depending on demand.

Dawn – ‘ I would like to purchase a Adler butterfly drop leaf dining table and four chairs John Lewis don’t have any in stock can you tell me where I can purchase please?Read more…

Hi Dawn, as you say, the Adler table and chair set is out of stock. An alternative would be the Savoy 4 Seater Dining Set which is in stock and available from Dunelm.

Julia – ‘ Hello, I am interested in purchasing the Strata 3 seater but unfortunately it seems John Lewis are out of stock and unsure whether there will be a restock. Are there any other places we can order from?Read more…

We don’t know if it will be re-stocked, and it isn’t available anywhere else – it wouldn’t be out of stock if it was. We do try and make this clear above.

Baz – ‘ If I buy four Rye chairs. £449 for two can you help on the price please?Read more…

Sure, two sets of chairs at this time would be £898.

You could wait until they are on offer, which would typically be less 20%, although there is no guarantee this would happen before you really need them. The Rye range does also sell out during peak periods so this is another risk you need to consider.

For the record, when items are on offer at 20% off it does not mean there is a huge margin to play with , it is done for cash-flow purposes. When delivery, damages and returns are taken into account this can sometimes result in a small net loss,
