One of the hallmarks of modern interior design is a reliance on texture rather than colour – combining soft and hard finishes and adding angles and geometric shapes to otherwise very classic items and furnishings. Read more…

The Notton collection floor and table lamps uses a pale neutral colour palette combined with a lightly angular design to draw attention – transforming the round shape of the lamp body and shade with added angles.

While the floor lamp boasts a tell structure which reaches 1.2m in height, extending the marginally thin shade right up to control and tunnel the flow of light, the table lamp is much squatter and benefits from the extra softening of a fabric shade.

The juxtaposition between the floor and table lamps, alongside the similarities, ensure that both can easily be integrated into the same room or living space without appearing too matching.

It is worth noting that the different shades attached to these lights control the flow of light, which is why so many homeowners opt for both in their space.

The floor light delivers a controlled beam of light upwards and down to the floor, with a soft glow through the pale structure – while the table lamp is a more traditional accessory which creates different levels of light.
