Tips for Al Fresco Dining

As summer approaches, thoughts turn to BBQs, garden parties, and eating outside, all of which are lovely to host as the weather warms up. Here, we share our tips for al fresco dining to help you to prepare for those all-important garden gatherings.

Create a Comfortable Dining Space

The key to successful al fresco dining is that everyone feels comfortable during the meal. This could mean investing in new outdoor chairs or simply adding cushions and blankets to those that you already have. You should also ensure that there’s enough room for everyone to sit.

This doesn’t necessarily mean that there’s a space at the table for all of your guests, you could opt for a more casual get together and prepare benches and other seating options too.

Use Great Lighting

If your al fresco dining is taking place in the evening, some well placed candles and outdoor lighting can help to create a wonderful ambience for you and your guests. This can be achieved using lanterns, fairy lights, a scattering of candles, or your own outdoor lighting should you have some installed.
