Notice how the frame of the chair is half exposed, and half hidden within the upholstery of the backrest. By placing the back frame inside the upholstered backrest pad, and covering the armrests with padded sections of upholstery, the wooden frame remains a functional part of this chair – despite its clearly very aesthetic build.
